The PF&H Sweat Test helped me understand my sodium losses and I now have a hydration strategy that helps me perform at my best.
Kyle Smith
IRONMAN® 70.3® Taupo Winner
Kyle was born in Blackburn in England and credits his family for his desire to make it as a professional triathlete. He developed a love for sport through his two older brothers - Aaron represented Great Britain in Motocross and Ryan was part of the GB team for modern pentathlon. And he gets his work ethic from his parents as his father is a brick layer and his mother a community development officer.
Like his brothers, he started off in sport by doing both motocross and pentathlon, before the family moved to New Zealand where he fell in love with triathlon. He hasn't looked back since as he made his name in ITU triathlon before making the step up to middle-distance racing, where he's won IRONMAN® 70.3® Taupo and numerous half races.
Kyle reached out to Precision Fuel & Hydration to dial in his hydration strategy for the IRONMAN® World Championships in St George in 2022 as he was keen to understand his sweat sodium losses for what was going to be a brutally hot race.
In only his second full-distance race, Kyle finished 11th in St George and plans to continue to race both 70.3® and IRONMAN® races.
The PF&H Sweat Test helped me understand my sodium losses and I now have a hydration strategy that helps me perform at my best.
